Wire one up to the insides of an alarm clock at a hotel and have a small hole for the camera. Connect it to the hotels wifi, run a TOR service, and shh in into it to watch others inside the hotel room, mostly.

    I was joking.

But doing that, minus the camera, would be a way to set up a nice little server that you don't have to worry about the feds monitoring. Maybe add in a little trigger that wipes the memory when thw alarm clock is opened.

I made the mistake of getting a Raspberry Pi without having any idea of what I want to do with it. None of the common projects like a media centre or router really appeal to me. I kinda had robotics in mind but I think an Arduino would have been a more practical option.

Raspberry Pi 3. I initially did it for RetroPie, but have played with it since then - doing different things. I ultimately still go back to installing RetroPie. I just don't have the time/interest in doing more with it. Although, RetroPie + Kodi + Exodus is pretty neat.

I have one of rPiZero hook up to a camera that I have pointed at my front doorstep. It automatically connects to my phone when I create a hotspot on my phone. I then have an Android app that I can open that displays live video stream from my front doorstep. I also have an indicator on all of my PCs so that I can view this video stream of my front doorstep.

    I have some future plans.
