Forts are pretty cool.
Sometimes I make a fort by the dumpster when it's raining, propping cardboard under the lid and sitting underneath it. Isn't that so cool??
What are YOUR forts like?
We used to make large basement forts as tweens and pre-tweens, with elaborate corridors and maze-like passages with little rooms and dead ends and such, then turn the lights off and play mobile hide and seek. Of course, yes, there was lots of butt sex and red flag touching when we found each other.
My dad would also help me make an igloo type fort in our backyard after we'd amass a large pile of snow over the winter months. We'd make a tunnel leading in and hollow out the inside of course. It was quite laborious to be honest but it was quite the good time. Then friends and I would just sit in there and feel cool, especially when there was a blizzard and we felt protected like we were smarter than the storm in our homemade snow shelter.
