Virtual and augmented reality

This is the reason why I created this timeline, why you NPCs even exist.
This is my reason for existing.

Virtual Reality is the absolute most spectacular and wonderful thing of this existence.
That a technology would empower humans to have the ability to live inside their imagination.
Whatever you can imagine, if you can model it you can live in it and eventually A.I. will turn your thoughts into tangible reality.

It starts with HMD vr, for the next decade people will experience virtual worlds with audio and visual presence.
Then a decade or half from now, during the late 20s to mid 30s there will exist full-immersion virtual reality, probably coming in the form factor of headbands (like in Paprika).

It amazes me that such a technology like FIVR could even exist in the first place, that we will be able to project our consciousness into virtual worlds and live out any scenario we can imagine.

When I was 13, back in 2003, I bought Silent Hill 3 from EB games (RIP) for the PS2.
That was such a horrifying experience that I had to return it to EB Games because I couldn't bring myself to play it, that was all on a tv screen with PS2 tier graphics yet it was enough to scare me from being able to play it .... now imagine something like that in FIVR where you will be able to actually be there and smell the putrid flesh of the monsters, feel the pain as they attack you or hear the hissing static noise coming from the portable radio attached to your waist.
    Maybe you prefer something more relaxing, imagine being in DOAX playing volleyball with the lovely DOA gals, then later having sex with them at the hotel then you can play dress up and decorate them with the bikinis you earned playing the game .... (XO_________________________OX);;;

Forget the crazy government conspiracies or that they would try to fake an alien invasion, the fact that FIVR can and will exist is just mindblowing and probably the most sci-fi thing in existence second to time-travel.

I'm super hyped for AR too ... it's come a loooong way.
Back in 2009 I was playing around with my iphone 3g, I downloaded this QR code from google and when you pointed the camera towards it the android mascot would appear but it was so primitive and 1.0 there was lots of jittering and if you moved the camera it would disappear until you held it perfectly still then it would reappear.
That was only almost 9 years ago ... something I experienced lately got me REALLY excited and encouraged for the upcoming AR hmds from Apple, Microsoft and Magic Leap.
I was using my okaa's phone with the faceberg messenger app, my tomodachi called the phone in video mode and later on during the conversation he started playing with the AR emote things, the hats etc.
There was one where if I opened my mouth flames would pour out, or there was one with a cat on my head I was really impressed how perfected it was if I moved around the hat stayed in place very well but what really excited me about the future prospects of AR and how far it's come along was the raver mask with the neon glasses and earrings when I tilted my head the earrings tilted, if I swayed my head they shook and keep in mind this is just a gimmicky aspect of the messenger app that people either don't know exists or will forget about after playing around with it for a second.
Imagine how amazing AR hmds will be when Apple and co have invested years and millions of dollars into, it's going to be fucking amazing.
You'll be able to decorate a blank room with furniture that only exists virtually, or a virtual pet (the 21st century tomogatchi) that acts just like a real cat.
In my tomodachi's livingroom there is a pseudo fireplace that is basically a space heater with lights, now imagine putting a space heater in a particular location in your room then putting on your HMD and seeing a realistic looking fireplace and you could have a virtual crt tv above it playing anime from the 90s.
It's the simple things like that that get me the most excited, playing with virtual objects and relating to them as though they were physical.
Of course there are going to be gaming uses for AR hmds, imagine Pokemon AR where you go out into the fleshnet and collect pokemon that are on scale, and battling them out with fleshnet humans or an AR Silent Hill where your town becomes possessed by monsters.

AR has come a long way in the decade since it started being introduced to the public.
It's expected that Apple will release their Ar HMD around 2020.
This is why I'm not so bumbed out abotu being a poorfag now, all I need is a blank space and an HMD.
Living in a tent, no problem from your perspective it appears that you're inside a high rise condo in downtown Tokyo.

tbh with the prospect of this kind of technology I wouldn't mind living in a technocratic communist state, in fact maybe communism is the answer ... I just don't like how right now it seems like the people driving it are the kind who want to control what you think and feel.
We need communism with freedom of speech and the right to privacy, otherwise they better expect total war.

There is something truly special about interacting with virtual things the way you would physically in the fleshnet.

It's like a lucid dream you can experience any moment

And the way that's it's so sophisticated I can't help but be awestruck at how magical it is and that people were able to make something like this happen in my lifetime

Santa will be fucking real ... if you're a loli or shota you can live out that fantasy and see him come down the chemney

Big screen has tons of potential

Imagine collaborating with people working on music or a film and bejng able to be near esch other working together in real time but physically living in separate countries.
Of course there is watching anime with tons of people in a theater room.
Once the screens are high res enough movie theaters will be dead

tl;dr but wouldnt it be interesting to have VR dens to provide some escape from IRL for people with low income? kind of like an opium den. have some rooms reserved for party games and doing shits and giggles with friends or on a date or something and have a seperate section for people that wanna do those porn VR games, or AI girlfriend type of games. provide fapping utensils and let them go to town

i think it could work, thoughts?
