Blow it out your blowhole, almost every thread anyone makes here in sg could technically go into another sub forum.
plus its not like we have so many members where those forums get nearly as much attention as sg does.

No, and that's looking like it's because there isn't actually any legislation regarding the legality of identifying a minor on the news. I have seen it appear a few times now as an ethical dilemma, and rightfully so. Like LSD said, juvenile victims (not including the ones on our site) are top priority with regard to identity protection, and the criminal side obviously is where more difficult decisions need to be made what with the range of factors and circumstances regarding all the different cases.

Either way, I also basically thought it was a law to not identify minors so this was curious to see, even though I'm probably still wrong somehow. Clearly the fact that none of us are really sure speaks to show that regardless of it's legality, the media seems to have a pretty general consensus to err on the side of caution. I'm sure the avoidance of lawsuits also playing a significant part in their decision making.

I don't really know how this translates to protection orders or whatever they're fucking called- because I think those are a matter of legality- stuff like the public's right to access public information and juveniles' rights to a certain degree of sealed information. I'm pretty sure I was reading that it's common now to allow public access to partial juvenile records, a compromise of sorts, but I have no idea if that has bearing on someone obtaining that same "protected" information from a private source and publically releasing it.

Bottom line they are most definitely minors, my attorney friend checked it out with his friend. They are 15 to 17 year old kids. Hell even when I was a minor my mug shot was put up for public view. it happens. minors are not protected. this isn't tyt folks

bottom line, §m£ÂgØL is talking out of his ass again

I don't think it has anything to do with the families. Your families can't just bring you clothes to jail lol... you wear jail clothes..

And I much rather wear street clothes than a jail outfit
