I have a hard time taking QotSA seriously. Really everything Josh Homme does feels so anachronistically dad-rock-ish. I don't know if it's intentionally written to appeal to young teen boys or that's just the audience that assembles around it but it feels awkward. There's really only so much you can do with distorted guitar, the same vocal style, and the same drumming style stretched over like a dozen albums by this point.
