Theft and Arson?

   The Self Taught Man Black Hole
   Someone has been unlocking my car door somehow and has stolen stuff inside the garage (or it's a scam)
   
   Tonight
   
   Someone seems to be trying to set the place on fire where I'm staying. Someone in an apartment seemed to think Arson right away. to me it seems like a weird game.. last time we had the smoke alarms go off the Fire Marshal called some days later and said he never got the signal because the wires were literally crossed.
   
   someone may have thrown something down our garbage chute in the building. and when I first met my girlfriend someone set a car on fire in the guest parking lot.
   
   but there seems to be some weird games going on as well.. yet the building seems to have no security cameras. I though have got some footage over the past three years .. nothing worth investigating but strange and might come in handy later on.
   
   Also this neighbor is a bit confused about times.
   
   She's first on scene around here. hmm
   
   anyways How's my Bank Account, Lanny.. maybe one of your PI Banky friends for the silk road might be working hard on mine?
   
   
   not to mention a certain GROUP in the rideshare business scheming a bit too much. it's the greedy who go overboard who get caught first. Cant wait.

   yeah it's easy to set up a camera, raspberry pi + a camera board + a mobile phone battery will do it cheaply
   
   that said you should set traps; razorblades on doorhandles and windowsills and stuff

   I was thinking a decent 80 dollar dashcam, a phone charger battery and not a phone battery and a USB cable. some of them will have 10-12 hours of power source. take turns with the neighbors of changing out the SD card and power source and monitor the video. we could also set them to motion so you don't have to watch hours of crap. but I would just 16-32x speed monitor them for hours. days worth in a few hours.

   also you need a housing.. some people carry portable detectors which look for the smallest amount of battery power or hot line _lead) activity.
   
   I'v seen some as cheap as 100 bucks. No doubt people who break into garages and cars like here are using them. as well as code phishers for garage door and car auto locking systems.
   
   
   fucking places like Radio Shack or Frys made it easy. I could always tell when someone was up to something. whenever you're in a store and watching shit they buy.

   not sure about this - I know you can use a multimeter, but I'm not aware of any way to check for charge without physical contact

   that can be done almost entirely with software nowadays; just need an antenna on the same frequency (900hz or whatever) and you can use an arduino or other microprocessor to cycle through codes... cars are more difficult though, they typically use bluetooth and have complex handshakes

   That's why Radio Shack went out of business. I think the biggest sale for them were components like resisters and LED lights. what did they run again.. about a buck each or so.
   
   Online you can buy cheapy ones from china or hongkong for an entire pack of 20 for like 5 bucks.
   
   is the arduino raz pi in it's third generation already? still 35 bucks for the core?
   
   are they strictly like a DOS type system or do they run Linux? what does one run on a Ras_Pi?

   arduinos are different to raspberry pis
   
   Arduino is based around the ATMEGA chip architecture, you use the ARDUINO (based on WIRING) language to program them - they're mostly used for automation, robotics, simple tasks - they're not feasible for use as a personal computer. Cost depends on the board, but a standard dev unit with GPIOs to connect to motors and lights and stuff will probably set you back $30-50.
   
   The Raspberry Pi is designed as a cheap computer based around the ARM arcchitecture (same family of processors most phone handsets use). If I remember right there are three generations, all three are able to run ARM-specific linux distros off of the SD card and I believe the latest generation can run Windows 10. I have one (second gen) running a linux distro called OpenElec so I can use it as a media player, another is running Raspbian (raspberry pi specific version of Debian) and functioning as a firewall/network monitor

   Sorry I thought Arduino was a brand name that makes all this stuff. it's been a while since I'v been in one of these stores.
   
   I thought the RasPi was a product of. I thought ARDUINO made all the different stuff like servos and kits and such.
   
   just ignore me.. I'm tired as fuck right now. i'm starting to unwind from all the shit tonight.
   
   
   I'm gonna apply for maybe a shuttle driver and not have to drive my car into the ground anymore. I think i'll get my resume together and start applying.
   
   Also I want to start learning to code.. and not walk away from it unless I'v spent at least 2 hours a day on it. I need to condition myself to learn.
   
   We're is our summer? someone stole our summer this year.
