I haven't heard anything particularly good lately; downloaded a few Alfa Matrix samplers but the recent stuff doesn't seem to have as much impact as say, FGFC820 or Inure or Terror Punk Syndicate from a few years back, LET ALONE the golden age of Wumpscut and Suicide Commando.
Going back to current stuff, Helalyn Flowers and Alien Vampires had a few decent tracks, but I haven't found much I liked. I only really listen to dark electro in general for angry, high-impact stuff, most of it seems to be angsty goth synth garbage, like a really poor copy of 80s goth.
A few things:
If you've heard of the (largely defunct) label Bugs Crawling Out of People, they have some really good 'underground' stuff. The two samplers (CUM TO MY HOUSE and WAKE UP: GET THE FUCK OUT) are really, really good and showcase a bunch of acts (they're free on bandcamp). Come to think of it I've talked to the guy that runs the label a few times, I might be able to get them to join up here.
I've re-picked up Acretongue lately, not new but has a similar sort of depth as bands like Haujobb and Seabound, but seems a lot darker. Not exactly new but if you haven't heard of it, check out
their Nihil album.
