What happens when you die? Best and worst case scenario

Sure an endless paradise, a perfect existence of joy and ecstasy would be great, but I believe pain is fundamental to the human condition. We'll always find it, and if we can't we'll create it. I think it's be cool if when we does we would be given our choice of who we want to live as next, and when, to occupy that person's space, feel their struggles and joys, and their eventual death, a d when you come back to that great void from whence you came your soul is further enriched, a d the experiences you gained in the life just lived is added to all the past ones and your wisdom, empathy, and soul grow, until you've lived every possible life, and a few impossible ones. You'll have experienced everything, all joys and pains possible, and then you can leave for the great paradise, capable of fully appreciating it. Maybe you could go there earlier, and ideally you could return to live again at some time to relearn the pains and joys of mmortality. Maybe you can converse with other souls, swap stories or experiences of vest lives and times to live, how they did it, or what you did different. Or maybe you're just alone, and there is only one of us, and I've lived your life, and you've lived mine, be sure we are the same. Maybe this soul knowledge could be tapped through rigorous meditation, or perhaps psychedelics. Maybe both.

Worst case scenario would be just nothing. No more feeling. Even eternal suffering would be better. At least you persist and can feel.

I don't know. Thoughts? Hopes? Opinions?

I say best case: heaven, worst case: hell. Personally, I'd rather feel nothing than burn up.

No way dude what if they can bring you back for another round? And if they can't or won't? Who cares? You're not in it anymore, so it hardly matters. They're getting more use out of it then you.

Not trying to be a dick, genuinely curious: are you an organ donor?

not exactly a serious post, but it seems to me to be more logical to be concerned about what happens to your body after you die rather than your consciousness - your body's the only part empirically proven to continue to exist.

I mean, you make a decent point, but it's no good to you anymore, so I feel like it's whatever

I dunno what happens, but I know I will get one, and only one chance to experience it. so I don't want to miss it and I don't want the faggy version either.

dying in sleep, painless, anyway in which I don't get to experience the full-on Technicolor death experience. not saying I want to die anytime soon. just that I want to ride that trip to the max when it does come. its the final and ultimate trip. the trip where we finally get to find out the answer to the op's question.

I'm pretty sure your soul floats away from your body and you're on the astral plane.

that guy muffins that was all about the j-dub on zoklet sent me some of the jwh and I was smoking some with my gf but I also took a bunch of tramadol and had a seizure, i fell into my dishwasher and busted open my chin. My soul left my body and I was floating above my building and I had never seen the roof of my building before so I know it wasn't just me imagining it, and I saw the paramedics wheel me out on a gerny and load me up into the medic van and my gf hopped in the back.

But yeah I believe you go on to do different things, much more important things than what we are doing here. But thats not to say that you shouldn't make the most and do your best with what we have here.

I should hope so. You have asked and I have answered. Perhaps the same soul conversing with itself, perhaps two different entities, but contact between sentients has occured

so how come while I'm alive and I don't get oxygen to my brain, do I lose consciousness? why doesn't my soul remain conscious inside me?

conclusion: our bodies are a life support system for our consciousness. without body there's no consciousness.

It's like taking the battery out of an electronic scope, it stops functioning. The body is just a means for the soul to perceive this reality, but also a limiting factor, like a window. Good for seeing out of, but inadequate for 360 viewing

If I had to venture a guess
