Because only a total fucking idiot would say that homelessness is 100% due to capitalism and I'm going to give Lanny the benefit of the doubt here and say that he is not a total fucking idiot and that I was right about the meaning of his post. I honestly did not get the impression that what you claim he said was what he meant at all. Let's go back to his statement:Homelessness is an inevitable product of technological advancement under the capitalist mode of production.
I don't see anything in this which claims definitively that homelessness is caused solely by capitalism. You could say something like 'car crashes are an inevitable product of drinking and driving' and I don't think you'd get that sort of exclusive message from it.

2017-05-15 at 4:17 AM UTCI was homeless and I tried to be nice. I just kept to myself with a little sign and panhandled for money so I could sleep at 24 hour net cafes (pay for a 24 hour pass, sleep in front of the computer). I only slept in a staircase once and security wasn't friendly. :(
