Fact is, ALL of this shit has been tried before, and ALL of it has failed miserably. There is no positive work-around, substitute or bandaid solution for a lack of appropriate policy and/or a lack of appropriate management.

Bodyfat, right? I actually keep losing weight for no apparent reason but I still weigh about 120kg. I think I have 12kg of fat I could shed without a problem.

I'm pretty sure GameFAQs has a more sophisticated system than that site. I say this because I had friends from that site who I still Counter Strike with sometimes, who are part of a pentesting community that has a whole 10 year old. 50K page plus thread devoted to trying to subvert it entirely, and nothing seems to be 100%, all alt accounts are eventually caught and slapped with the "We have detected that you have a permabanned account, this one is banned too" message and to my knowledge, no one has successfully been able to ban evade it. I believe the original admin (CJayC) said that the current situation is that they will allow known ALTs to exist sometimes if the user behaves, and let them think they're getting away with it.

Not to mention that they also have mods who are familiar with their communities and know troublemakers, so they can ban them if necessary too.

Sounds like a load of horseshit. Post the thread from the supposed pentesting community. I'll literally lol if it's hackforums.net

To both parts of your post: sorry, I'm not a faggot. Only fags use hackforums, and it's bad opsec to link yourself to other sites where you have posted not info.

Only if you use the same handle you nonce. Also this sounds like a cop out.

Or IP, browser, OS, computer, password, writing style, visit at the same times, or view / log in to other websites at the same time as either account is online. There's plenty more obvi. And you seem like you know all that already, so I guess this is mostly for others here.

fingerprinting isn't available to the average user; he's just talking about being able to guess what his GF account is based on what we know about him from his posts on here

I stick out like a sore thumb there and I've posted my face, so it's a negative, ghost rider.

This is assuming i could be assed running linguistic analysis on CF, and had access to the logs this pentesting site of his keeps. Which i don't and you should be rotating your proxies anyway. Besides, i would like to imagine that on a pentesting forum you use way more formal language, which would defeat linguistic analysis, given i only have a sample of shitposting CF on here.

Not my GameFAQs account, this is another forum. It's not a small one either, so I'm fucked if someone is looking, but I'm not going to make it easier on purpose lol.

I post in a relatively formal manner here too, when I'm talking about science related stuff or generally not in shitpost forums. And I think any linguistic analysis would not be necessary; I think my insults alone make me stand out.

There appear to be some inconsistencies in your story.

I only mind my identity being in any way connected to this community. I honestly do the care outside of that. It has a bunch of known professionals who have their business info in their profile and shit. It's not that kind of community.

Here are two of the many ways to go about it:

    1. New accounts can only make 1 topic per day for their first week, post 10 comments/day for the first week.

    2. New accounts have to go through the toughest capchas you can get your hands on to make a new thread, and to comment.

You can also mix and match.

Should solve the spamflush and alt problem. We could also go all out like GameFAQs and create a userweb and a points system to restrict posting. But that's kind of gay and a pain in my balls, so not really needed.

then the forum would be just be made thin and people would leave the forum for the forum represents freedom but bans happen constantly go to a real forum if you want to be a little bitch.

If it's Peerlyst, i approve. That's a dank platform. Anyway, whatever, my point was that no system is perfect. One thing i like about the White Hat community is that they have a bunch of really knowledgeable people. The underground scene has 10.000 skids for every 1 quality SEC guy.

bot spam actually isn't that common though; usually a wall of posts every few weeks

Of the ideas offered so far this one seems like the best, spamcanning a user is like two clicks for me, and people tend to report them pretty quick (thanks to the people that do). The majority of a spam thread's lifespan is between a report being made and me reading the report so if there's someone around who can temporarily disable an account in the time period I'm not active that should help.

While maybe not applicable here this would be an amazing anti-trolling strategy for ADHD support forums.
