sending for somebody

2017-02-08 at 4:11 AM UTCAnyone ever try this? I think I first noticed it reading Crime and Punishment. It's set back before they had internet and phones and stuff so if you want to hang out or talk to someone you have to go get your servant or someone else to send for them. Like "hey, porter, go send for the priest." Then they just automatically come talk to you.
Also I heard skepta talking about sending for someone like he's gonna fight. So you could do that to. "Send for the baker, I'm fucking pissed off and need violence." -

We've never had a war on our mainland since the Civil War, whereas the rest of the world has been ravaged at least 4 times by global conflicts in the past centuries, colonialism has torn down the east and Africa and generally everyoe else has been going through a shitty time. For example, the jedis have created a special global safe space for the holocaust; you can't even *entertain* the thought that something is amiss with the record in modern society. And so our ideals can tear our great nation down. -
