   I disagree. We should all be allowed to kill children. It would help the overpopulation problem a lot. They should sell hunting tags on Indian and African kids, pay $20,000 to shoot a defective child, money goes to taking care of the normal/good ones.
   
   They do the same things for rhinos, it would work for other animals.

    Yes. There are some semi-legit arguments regarding alimony being a good thing, but ultimately I think all of them are based on the idea that feelz > realz.
    
    The only one that is close to convincing is that women give up their career development to become homemakers, then when the divorce comes, they have a 15 year hole in their work history, are out of practice etc so they're essentially unemployable and have to start over.
    
    But honestly, this just seems like it ignores the woman's choice in this decision, as if she was simply forced into being a homemaker; women want to sit at home, bake brownies and play with their kids. Why this decision should be rewarded by eradicating the opportunity costs associated with it, is just beyond me.
