There is a difference in taste due to a difference in the enhancement fuckulannyitsafil-terudick length. The enhancement on a 100 is 10mm longer than on a regular or king size cigarette. So it comes down to a preference in taste. The same reason people choose different brands.

It has to do with taxes. The government forces the cigarette manufacturers to tax cigarettes per gram of tobacco used. 18.475¢ per gram or part gram of tobacco here. So the larger they make them, the higher the cost in taxes people don't want to pay.
