The whole Play album was transcending. I kind of see what you mean in regards to Nostalgia. When I first discovered that album I never stopped playing it. Music can take you back to a different time. "Natural blues", "Why does my heart feel so bad".

Dido, "White flag", "Here with me". Damn she had potential for more.

I get similar vibes when Lana del Rey dropped "Video games". It really transported my mind to a different era.

Porcelain reminds me of the late 90s
Listening to it I can see myself playing The Sims 1 on my Compaq Presario, I can see my childhood apartment complex and going to blockbuster to pick up an n64 game.
Ever since 2010 when I get drunk I listen to that song (along with dido's than yiu) and some other songs in sequence and go into this mindset where I relive the 90s.

You can achieve altered states of conscious through meditation and lucid dreaming, no need for harmful substances.

Certain albums can literally alter my consciousness, I trip out to the music.
I'm not somebody who has music on in the background while browsing the web or doing random things, to me it's an event.

Music is art, its supposed to stir emotions and feelings. The best music will stir the most powerful emotions inside you. This can often bring back memories in the form of nostalgia, similar to how certain smells can do.

You are definitely thinking too much into it with that 'it alters my consciousness and trips me out' bullshit. It is just stirring emotions and bringing on nostalgia from earlier times you had, you are just confusing it with that.

Yeah my music taste is mostly determined by me wanting to look at cute girls on youtube. What about it bitch? I like female energy and enjoy the sounds of beautiful voices in my ear.

Do you listen to any female artists at all? Didn't think so because your music tastes reflect your incel personality and you find women intimidating

You're as dumb as that person looks in your avatar.
Octavian and I were talking about Dido and Moby, so I explained to him why those two songs are special to me, I wasn't referring to my entire music experience.
Also, if you were as into music as I am you would understand music having a prpfoundly emotional and conscious effect on a person.
