His beliefs never changed he just became disillusioned with the direction of that political party. A lot of Americans I've talked to that I agreed with were former Democrats and I see where they are coming from.
I liked Bill Clinton and thought he was cool but his wife is associated with some bad people it's like a cabal of globalists that want to watch the world burn. You would have to be a fool to support any mainstream political party in my opinion.
Trump is an independent but he would never win running as one. You can join any party you want, it's a free country. You don't even have to believe the same things as that party, just say you do and support their beliefs.
