It's a fucking condiment.
It's for flavoring. I think the red seeds are pepper seeds.

Never heard of Himalayan food.

I've never had Nepali or Tibetan food. I suppose I should try it sometime. The restaurants that serve that food always look a little grotty tho.

Never been to a Himalayan restaurant, but that looks like a feast for a monk
Usually they just subsist entirely on water and sunlight

and if you're in texas, why aren't you shopping at h e b?
Because whole foods is better. I go to the original one and my brother works there and I'm trying to sell my salsa there

Most of that is fennel seed. i hate fennel. Tastes like licorice. Every time i get food from the place near me, the fennel and orange stuff is already fixedin the rice with sprigs of cilantro. Maybe its just a really shitty condiment for poor people?

and for the record. if you think "Why the fuck would I eat seeds"
Rice is a seed more or less
wheat are seeds. rye are seeds. if you blended that bowl of "seeds" really fine into powder you would have really pretty colored flour and then you could make bread.
just create starter yeast (allowing the flour to mold with potato's in a wet Jar making yeast) and then go from there.
you can make noodles too from it
