2020-01-31 at 2:49 AM UTC>Approximately 6,000 people were held on board a cruise ship in Italy on Thursday amid concerns that two passengers might have the new coronavirus

Ultimately it turned out to be false alarm, but "Plague Ship" has such a nice ring to it i couldn't resist.
Hoist the yellow jack, lads.

Shockwave over water
It's not the pressure of the sound wave that creates the effect on the water. Generally speaking a shell is fired by means of explosive propulsion. The force of the explosive detonation propels the shell through the barrel. Once the shell leaves the barrel the explosive force can disperse which is what creates the shock wave over the water. In the process the shell has been imparted with a ton of energy from the initial explosion, which is ultimately what sends it flying to the enemy. -

2020-02-01 at 5:38 AM UTCHas anyone done any serious reading into some of the genetic sequences in the current coronavirus being exactly the same as HIV? On the face of it I would think this indicates selective gene editing but I've only just heard
