Populations with big governments tend to be happier if (and only if) they are smart

A new study has found that nations with bigger governments tend to have happier populations, but only in high IQ countries. Obydenkova and Salahodjaev (2017) looked at the relationship between government size, defined as government spending as a percentage of GDP, IQ, and national subjective well-being, as measured by a questionnaire administered to 3,000+ people per nation, across 147 countries.

They found that both IQ and government size positively correlated with national happiness, as did economic development (GDP per capita). Ethnic diversity, income inequality (GINI), and being in Africa were all found to predict lower than average subjective well-being.

Hey, you never answered my question: Are you the same Hate from Zoklet, the one that married Xannex? Just curious.

Do you see the nail on that finger? It's female. Could be Xannex right before she killed herself. You will never find out.

How does that make you feel?

    Xannex killed herself?

Denmark is the happiest country yet has some of the highest rates of anti-depressant (aka kike blue pills) usage.

I'm really glad I never took anti-depressants or whatnot.

I like my brain chemistry unchanged. Except from the massive amounts of recreational drugs, of course

Anyone complacent in that racket should be hung and quartered. I'm just glad I had enough sense to get off them. Imagine being 30 years old and having taken them half your life. Going through puberty without ever having full sensation of your penis. All because someone claimed to have your best interest at heart, when in reality you were just a lifelong addict to them. Worse than a regular drug dealer as at least you know their end game.

People seem normal and normaler when they go on it, but watch them go off it. They become psychopathic and that I would guess is a permanent change. Sure it gets toned down once they are no longer withdrawing, but it's like how a trip, good or bad, will change someone for life. You put someone through hell and you get the devil.

What's especially interesting, I'm speaking of SSRIs of course, is that they cause selective reuptake of everything. This includes dopamine and I read somewhere this is more likely the reason anyone claims that they work at all. There's actually a site/PhD Dr. explaining why more serotonin is bad for your health, let me try to find it. That's not to deny that serontonin plays a role somewhere as ectasy makes it clear it's a feel good chemical, but there were compelling arguements against treating it like we do.

It could always be a little bit better. T-PAIN, NSI-189, ketamine, and some others are excellent medicine.

Yea I took ketamine a lot when it was plentiful and shit cheap. Then it started giving me massive pressure headaches and I asked someone who was a nurse on totse/Zoklet (can't remember their username, they were a mod tho I think) about it and they said it can increase brain pressure and herniate your brain stem.

    That kinda put me off

K9? It also causes your bladder to lose it's elasticity from what I heard. Why oh why do dissociatives seem to have the worst side effects. All I want is a nitrous canister to pull along in everyday life. Is that too much to ask for?

I don't know why anti-depressants are so stigmatized. I've never taken them so I can't speak from experience but the common side effects don't seem that serious and they are clinically effective, it's not like doctors just give them out for shits and giggles.

    gee willickers

They do change your mental state, and to some that's a welcome change, it doesn't mean they are effective. Gin has more efficacy than SSRIs.
