His defense isn't denying that it happened; they're saying that it happened and was in the best interest of the public because getting a president re-elected is in the best interest of the public.
I conject that they most likely used this defense because they were unable to give hard evidence denying that the qpq happened because it did, and lying about it could trigger another impeachment, and the fact that republicans are letting him off no matter what means that they can both avoid lying and get an acquittal anyway.
This is going to be "good" for the public in the short term in a smol way because Trump getting re-elected really is in the best interest of the public, but
Who the fuck names their kid La'Tanya god black people are worthless
But in the long term this is a terrible precedent for the country.

The dumb masses are the problem with this country, not the gov or leadership.
Within a couple of generations it's gone from Great Americans who helped save Western civilization to whiny fat lazy slobs...the Americans who fought in WW2...teenagers from the farm flying B24 bombers daily on deadly missions etc, would turn in their graves (assuming they are already dead) if they could see the teens of today fucking around on tictok and shit and siting in the dark playing minecraft all day.

There was no quid pro quo. No aid was ever withheld. No additional dirt on Biden was revealed.
Is inquiring about corruption means for impeachment? His defence team proved beyond doubt that there was cause for suspicion. It was not baseless. Therefor, Trump cannot be guilty as his concern was valid.

Quid pro quo is used in foreign policy aid since the very first time.
They could stand up there and post the number of times Obama did it just a few years ago.
Every fucking one of these assholes are corrupt as fuck. Pelosi has made millions on the military industrial complex. It’s the biggest money laundering scam in history.
They kick back and drink dom perignon and laugh at all this my team vs. your team shit.

All foreign policy is a form of quid pro quo. Only dumbass Democrats don't know that, or pretend not to know.

You wouldn't say that while he had you pinned and crying to let you go.

Our republic is getting pummeled.
It will never be able to recover from today's vote that will codify an imperial presidency.
