This is what's been lab-tested and verified. Those labs are running at capacity. We should assume that both confirmed cases and death tolls are much higher. How much is a wild guess. In any case, we can see a ratio of death vs infection at about 2%. Given that people who have died may be given higher priority for lab tests, it's safe to assume that less than 2% of people who are infected, actually die.
Bubonic plague by contrast killed 50% of those infected. Spanish flu killed between 10% and 20% of those infected.
