hospitals still operate in warzones where doctors and medics don't get supplies, let alone paid - at a point like this many of them understand that things will get a lot worse if they give up, and they'll likely get disappeared when it's all over for abandoning their posts -

The average adult contracts “the common cold” 2-3 times a year. This new strain of coronavirus apparently has at least a 5% fatality rate. Pretty sure the average adult doesn’t die once every 8 years
