Except I think you can go to Safeway and get them for like 10 bucks a dozen.. sometimes a bakers dozen
safeway, more like jackassway. they only have imbeciles and braindeath people there, if you can even find someone to ring you up cause they obviously are too busy hiding somewhere like the little smartasses that they are -

2020-01-27 at 1:30 PM UTCthose cinnamon ones from Shipley's doughnuts are the worst in the world. You get a mixed dozen that's the one that's always left to go stale.

2020-01-27 at 1:50 PM UTCThe 2nd best doughnut I've had was at Morecambe Bay beach in the depths of winter during a storm, a mobile doughnut van which had a little conveyor you could watch the doughnuts being made on, it started out being squeezed out and dropped onto the conveyor, then went along it into an oil bath, then out and under a sugar "waterfall". Then dropped in a bag at the end still hot.
Eating it with someone special as the gale force winds tore at your soul and the ocean spray filled the air was quite a thing. I remember the doughnut guy saying to us, "Why are you even here today?" and I said "Why are you?".

It's run by an old asian couple, the guy is the donut Nazi. I was picking my donuts too slowly and he goes
TOO SLOW!
I CHARGE YOU 2 DOLLAR EXTRA!
YOU GO FASTER NEXT TIME!
They were the best donuts I've ever had by far and as long as you order quickly they're pretty cheap actually
I would have grabbed him by the throat and asked him to repeat was he just said slower, so I can understand better. -
2020-01-27 at 3:47 PM UTCEvery BBQ place in Texas says "Voted the best in Texas"...of course they don't tell you the one doing the voting was the owner.
