It's real, but it's artificially hyped for political purposes. What these worthless bags of shit do is they use natural disasters as vehicles for their tyranny and to rob their victims of even more of their rights and freedoms. It's the perfect scam, because if you catch on and resist or expose, they can just say you deserve to be the enemy, and they get the public on their side by painting you as a danger and a stumbling block to their heroic efforts. In my world, all these devious scum would be dragged out, lined up, and shot dead. Problem solved.

Just like the climate change scam. How does robbing you of your last few dollars change the weather?
