2017-02-02 at 9:38 AM UTC12k is a pretty fat bounty. I like the idea of bug bounties in general but they almost never come close to covering the opportunity cost of discovery. In large part I think they're highly effective PR campaigns.

I'll pay $2.56 USD for any exploitable security bug found, which means it has to pertain to security (so no bounty for UI bugs or feature suggestions) and you have to prove it can actually be used as opposed to a hypothesized issue or something that would take like NSA levels of resources to pull off.
As mentioned, chasing bug bounties on average is not terribly profitable and in this case less so than most but if you do find something consider it a token of thanks rather than a payment for services rendered. -
