Agreed, linux is the best operating system if you always wanted to learn an archaic not that I know what that word means way of installing and configuring basic drivers and programs. Linux is truly the greatest boutique not that I know what that word means OS for the underchallenged desktop user. If XP had newer direct X support I'd still be using it.
While support ends for this operating system, it will not make it any less stable. Malware programmers have long since moved to newer versions of windows.

True. Most of today's malware and drive-bys don't even work on WinXP. All you get is a quick flash of the screen or sudden loss of memory while it chokes and dies.

Windows XP was perfect. Don't fix what isn't broken. Of course this becomes a dilemma for microsoft, who have to release a new product to increase money supplies.
What bothered me most about win 10 was the removal of support for the classic theme. I'd been using that theme for fucking 20 years.
The newer operating systems as well as just slow as fuck. I remember installing windows 7 from XP, and seeing an FPS drop of about 20% in most video games. They just seem to add more and more overhead every fucking time. Which makes it prone to more and more security issues. Which then requires more and more overhead to fix again.
All programmers in the world should collectively dump windows and move over to linux.
