Burner phone apps, how secure are they?

   How hard are are these things to trace from hum drum law enforcement for minor/not interesting crimes? Obviously for major or very public crimes they're gonna be able to subpeona with enough investigation, but how easily traceable are these things?

   using it in an apartment block or highly crowded area for short period of time makes impossible to trace. the phone swiches towers by the seconds.

   Minor crimes are not usually investigated. If it is something worth investigating, then use a regular burner and destroy afterwards.
   
   The company is going to keep track of which burner belongs to which number. So if LE contacts them, they will just hand it over.
   
   I have a burner app on my burner phone but I rarely need to use a burner number. The numbers are all blacklisted from verification services.

   There are apps that allow you to use a different phone number on your phone. They work well but the number you get is blacklisted from most services.

    the fact that most services had their number blocked is an indicator that these numbers ought to be disposed of or 'burned' a long time ago and the fact that they still arent is proofs enough that these arent your so-called 'burner' apps.

    Yeah, I guess it's like having another/multiple extra phone numbers for 5 bucks a month, which is super duper cheap.. unless there's a free way to do that I'm not aware of. If you want a business number/ numbers for people you don't want to have your personal cell number

    They are probably not gonna subpoena Burner to get you for selling $250 in weed. It shouldn't be a problem to protect your number from clients and shit. But don't expect it to protect you from LEOs.

    As long as the GPS system is talking to the device, you're fucked, because the GPS will provide the device's location, and once they have the precise location, it's child's-play to locate the CCTV cameras in the area and get a clear shot of you and your movements.
