LOL I think I might of asked you before. The first one you posted just made me realize I asked you something and you posted that one. Do you know him personally or the second one?

Reegs is Reg Smithies from a band called "Chameleons UK" and their drummer past away last year. His name was Tony Lever.

sorry if I repeated. thanks for the suggestions.

another band was The Sun and the Moon.

I used to go drinking with the "Take that" guys before they became big. The building I managed in Manchester city centre had dance studios on the 4th floor and they rented it out for dance practice...they still had a following of underage girls though and they'd stand outside the building screaming.

There was a pub next door (The Unicorn on Church street) and we'd take the lads down to the basement because there was an escape hatch (you had to climb up ladders to get out of a little door in the street) so we could all go for a drink or 3.

They were cool enough back then, though Gray Barlow as a bit of a twat.

I heard The Hacienda was built, lasted like 17 years, torn down and a condo replaced it. Because it suddenly had shootings and robberies. they closed it down during the period in the mid late 90s to clean up Manchester?

they also Modernized old old architectural shops from the 1600s just recently. pissing shitloads of historians off. somewhere in that area.

Any of this "Heard" sound familiar to you?

Yes the Hacienda was closed because of the trouble.

They've done a lot of modernization to the city center. The building I managed is now fancy apartments (called The Lighthouse).

You can see the bits they added, the silver/gray parts (and you can see the unicorn pub there at the lower left)

The Northern Quarter has had a lot of work done to it in the last 20yrs...when I go home for a visit it's like a different city...I always stop by the Unicorn for a beer though.
