Honestly asking. Five, six months ago I stopped drinking cold turkey. Before that, 8 - 10 strong beer a night for 6 - 7 years.
What are the positive effects of alcohol upon oneself, and society? Can better living through chemistry be achieved with alcohol?

I stopped drinking around 2 to 3 years ago too. Not all cold turkey but when hangovers started to last over 1 day it was getting old. Wasting 1 day for a fun night was bad enough but going on a day and a half made me feel like a piece of shit so i just tapered off and havent missed it at all.
I save alot of monies and dont ever have to worry about dui's or doing stupid shit when im drunk.
