   and half the time they started the fight by relentlessly talking shit and not walking away, then act surprised when it escalates.
   
   in a way it's funny to watch because as they start wailing louder and more frantically, you can see them have a little breakdown as their worldview collapses in on itself - the authority they thought they had means nothing in the face of physical violence; the 'pen is mightier than the sword' only if you can keep the guy with the sword out of chopping range
