I have gone a whole week sober
-
2020-01-08 at 1:02 PM UTCIt feels very different, I have a new found sense of clarity and I have woken up seven times without feeling chemically and icky.
My dreams have been so much more detailed and vivid.
My poops are firming up.
If I can go a whole year sober it could have a profound impact on my mental and physical health.
This is what's wrong with all of you losers.
If you could all quit drugs your lives would improve drastically and you wouldn't be so irritable and retarded. -
2020-01-08 at 1:05 PM UTCIt's pretty gay for a young fella to be sober.

You just made this thread a few days ago..
Anyways yeah I've quit drinking for about a week too. I'm doing it not because I want to quit forever but need a break. I want to get back in shape, save more money and become proficient at my new job.
Side note even if
YOU are sober you're still the biggest loser on this site -

This must be why my life is so awesome and I’m highly successful.
Tbh I tried becoming an alcoholic once, it didn’t take. I literally carried liquor on me 24/7 and drank as often as I could without throwing up for a few months straight but I never got an addiction. I always had to force myself to drink it. Then I just stopped.
I think there’s something broken in the habit-forming section of my brain or something. I can’t do anything out of habit, it always takes effort -

2020-01-08 at 2:50 PM UTCQuitting alcohol is cool but quitting everything altogether is kind of overkill, for me at least. I know it sounds cliche but ideally I'd like to get myself to sustain on just using cannabis and psychedelics, unless you count my prescription amphetamine which I don't abuse anyways.

weeel thats because you're already old n boring in general regardless of whether you drink or not. I know tons of people around my age that don't drink but actively go out and do things. And trust me, even though I feel better not drinking in a lot of way and I'm not waking up sick, I definitely do feel the urge to drink all the time. Last night after my first day on the new job I really wanted to have just a couple but I knew it would be a downward spiral for me at this time -

Yeah I feel ya, I feel like that too, though to be honest I don't even really smoke that much anymore after 5 years of probation. But yeah I really would like some adderall and pain killers for work. lolloool -

I know it was a joke, but at the same time theres truth to every joke. Like what you're getting at is you feel like a dry drunk, not that you do jigsaw puzzle, herper durper!
Just like people say I'm a rapist, they don't actually mean I go around in dark alleys plundering assholes of unsuspecting women, they mean that I'm just a horn dog fly boy that is sexually agressive, naaaah waahhimeaan gramps?!
