Is this common where you live? I hear in Poland it is very common to put a cross out of wood by a rowdside or place someone died.

Crosses, flowers, there is even a bicycle painted white and chained to a power pole near where I live. Apparently the dude loved his bike and was killed on it...so they got a bike (presumably another one), painted it white so it looks like something an angel would ride, got permission off the local gov and then put it there, I'm surprised no one has stolen it yet.

If you ever lived in south dakota like me or even just drove through it you'll see a black "THINK!" miniature stop sign they're legally required to put wherever someone died in an accident. You will see fucking thousands driving through the state to get to the black hills or western US or what have you.
It's almost kind of comical because obviously south dakota gets really bad winters and coupled with the naturally pretty hazardous roads out there you'll see time and time again wherever there's a pretty dicey spot where people just fly off over a cliff or whatever and there's like 50 stop signs at that one curve and then there's the same thing like 300 yards later
It's quite the quandry!

I wonder how many people have got into accidents while being distracted by looking at the crosses and bikes...it's a bit like being distracted by a nice ass but not as rewarding.
