   But either way a journalism degree should account for something that alone shoule be a foot in the door tod esign or graphics or illustration just as much as writing and tech blogging imo since many of us took courses in other such electives. If programmers can make big bucks like anna spysz with three month bootcamps why cant journalsits or designers as well?

    The ammount of money someone earns and the ammount of work available for the, should be based not on some arbitrary degree or field but the need for the work to begin with as well as difficulty in expertise and uniqueness of their work. For instance, lewrning illustrator has been one of the msot difficult things in my life. I am sure it is harder than going through a coding bootcamp, so I just dont believe they ewrn as much as they do or at least should not compared those who are proficient in illustrator or digital art:
