    Do you use Linux?

Can you recommend me a distro?

I wanna install it alongside my windows installation when I get a new laptop next week.

Mainly to prevent the browsers I use for professional things having leisure in the search history.

Things like online shopping, news media, naked people, web forums etc, accidently showing up in the search bar during presentations or shared group work meetings.

And also so to prevent tracking through cookies after logging in to professional websites.

At the moment I run two browsers. I want another layer of privacy in case someone is needing to borrow my laptop.

I do use Linux. There are many options to choose from. Maybe start with something simple like Ubuntu.

    HAHAHAHAHAHA.

How to be anonymous and hidden from government:

Use encryption software that sends out huge red flags to the government saying I USE ENCRYPTION TO HIDE FROM YOU.

    No thanks.

This is the kind of logic Aldra uses when analysing middle eastern insurgencies. Completely off base and laughable.

Just hide in plain sight. Don't draw attention to yourself.

I see Ubuntu as extremely vulnerable to hackers as it is from South Africa and that government is suspicious. It would have terrible backdoors in it for Chinese hackers.

You think encryption protects you from the government. It doesn't. It makes you easier to detect.

    That is all.

In the age of international terrorism, things like 1024bit encryption and Tor have arrived.

It is a surveillance tool. It makes you easier to find.

    Real encryption looks like this.

    Dear Charles,

Thank you for the invitation to your celebration. I look forward to catching up then.

    Regards,
    Sammy

    And has word substitution.

    Eg, swap dear with to,

Dear Charles means everything is going to plan
To Charles means something is wrong

A decline to meet a prearranged party could indicate that they are communicating there is too much surveillance on them etc etc etc.

Encryption looks like that. It's undetectable unless you have the key for it, or they are already watched. Even then, knowing that is encrypted does not mean you can crack the code.

Tails, PGP, Tor etc is very insecure if hiding from government.

Here look at this I just made:

    Drug distribution network key book:

    ---------
Aiight guys we gon be havin a meet up and party to celebrate our business venture sometime in December. The product is arriving sometime around November. I gonna send out invites on facebook. When we meet cash and product changes hands.

If the message starts with sup then all is good
If it starts with yo then prices or available quantities have changed for the better
If it starts with whattup then they've changed for the worse
If it starts with hey everything's off and we meet to talk about future plans

    ---------

    Etc etc etc.

    That's what encryption looks like.

Electronic and digital encryption is obvious. You can tell its encrypted even if you can't crack it. And governments can given enough time.

It is useful for banking, military comms and iff systems.

It is not good for staying hidden.
