Apparently if no one is sitting in front of it for several hours it seems to shut off the TV and box for you. I never set a timer. it keeps doing it.
My guess.. it uses it camera that the NSA watches you on to save them money on bandwith if no one is detected in front of it.
And since it knows most people angle it at them (when set up the cable guy does this) so you can use the remote.. if its not pointed at you then the remote doesn't work well. it will then notice you're not there. Also the voice activation probably is sensitive enough to listen for breathing or bio-rythms of some type.
AI bullshit.

1 – Turn your TV ON.
2 – Press the MENU button on your TV remote control and enter SETUP menu.
3 – Press the ENTER button on your TV remote and enter the TIME menu.
4 – Use the arrow buttons on your TV remote to select the TIMER and press ENTER and the TIMER screen will appear.
5 – Use your TV remote and turn the TV TIMER mode to off.
6 – Press the EXIT button on your TV remote control to exit settings.
If your TV has the SLEEP TIMER set, follow the same steps above but go into SLEEP TIMER instead.
NOTE: It is possible to set the Sleep Timer by mistake by pressing the Sleep button on your TV remote control.

We switched to spectrum and it has an automatic turn off. It has NOTHING to do with my TV, because it didn’t do it before I switched to spectrum. It’s an automatic shut off to save energy. Big deal.

I've already fully researched it and there are currently NO TVS or ISPs IN EXISTENCE which forces the AUTO STANDBY. That means you have AUTO STANDBY set to ON somewhere in your settings on one or more of your devices.

And remember, when your devices get quiet software updates, often your settings get reverted to default settings.
