you can try and make a case, but there are documentation going back to the mid 1800's proving my viewpoint.

OP, why are you worrying about Adam Lanza anyway? Find something healthier to focus on.

It's not that I just know what is morally right and wrong and don't believe this "subliminal" reminding has any effect on insane people.

They lack empathy therefore by default are going to act on their own volition, e.g. stab someone, not because they forgot to read a sign.

You believe your sense of morality is inherent to you because you refuse to acknowledge that you have absorbed the morality of the culture in which you live - via TV, media, conversations, lessons, etc.

Just lacking empathy doesn't mean someone would do something irrational, like shoot up a school

it's rather obvious, that Americans will never willingly give their weapons away, especially when the bad guys have tons of them. so removing weapons is only going to create a civil war.

other than finding the 10 commandments offensive to some fools intellect, what would it hurt to try that method once again?

you know, since we have a 150 years of documentation proving it did work!!

I mean by all means if it works, why not. There's always going to be differing views on the matter.

Finally some interesting debates on NIS for once and not mindless trolling.

i operate manual mills, lathes, grinders in my research and development for new parts.

what is interesting about the manual mill, lathe, and grinder...the same mathematics and process that was created literally 1,200 years ago, is the same mathematics and process we use today for those same machines.

    why do we do this?

cause you NEVER mess with what is working.

in my opinion, this definitely applies to the 10 commandments concerning school shooting!!

fortunately, we have records on file before/after going as far back to the mid 1800's.
and what these reveal are quite astonishing.

BEFORE the 10 Commandments were removed from public domain, NO ONE thought about shooting their school up. even those suffering from psychological disorders still obeyed these 10 Commandments like they were written in stone.

EXACTLY 2 years after the removal of the 10 Commandments, Columbine.
20 years later, 30+ school related shooting incidents.

    what is my point?

i don't care if you believe in God or not, but if a silly reminder kept people from shooting one another, why did the fucking DEMOCRATS want this reminder removed?

there is a major difference between words reminding us to be better humans VS an emblem that has no value concerning morality.
