Should I use electric space heaters or propane?

I dont like the idea of dragging a propane tank around all the time but I guess I would get 2 so at least I would never just run out and be fucked.
Still I dont wanna lug propane tanks around but I will if it makes things cheaper.
Which works best and what is cheaper?

Propane and keep the windows closed shut so the heat doesnt escape. Works best in small unventilated rooms.

You're gonna have to refill every week plus some with two tanks.

If you light a bunch of candles then set up a few industrial fans to blow the candle heat around you should be set.

Electric heaters are the most expensive on electricity.

OP: Propane is slightly cheaper, sure, but propane tanks are an absolute nightmare to lug around. They are awkward, they are very heavy (especially when full), they are expensive, and they need replacing way too often. You will find that the shops all suck and probably have the canisters locked up most of the time. Even if you get 2 (which is the norm) it's just awful. And you have the carbon monoxide/exhaust gas fun time to consider.

It's very easy to steal propane though. There is often no camera and the lock is many times rudimentary. Rob one outdoor cabinet and you could be warm for the winter.

True, but I'm not going to recommend that to OP. Gas stations all have CCTV.

But if you can pick locks you can open those little padlocks up, lock them again, and get away with a fortune.

The best are those old water heaters.

You can get propane everywhere here. Most grocery stores have a cage outside with them. You go buy it at the counter and an employee comes out with a shitty master lock key to exchange your empty canister for a full one. I can think of several without cameras. They don't usually put cameras outside for liability reasons. It's out of their rental space, and thus not their problem.

Yeah, spend $50 on propane daily for a month instead of paying for the electricity. Genius.
