I think some ways are instituting more trade barriers. Turning Africans against them and making it hard to get raw materials for their belt and road initiative and drum up more international condemnation for all the shitty things they do. Plus a bunch of others.

Does anyone really think China could survive a mass 10mt nuclear bomb drop attack on all their key infrastructure? As soon as their power grid went down, they'd be in a shambles. It would be outright chaos over there. They wouldn't even be able to fire back, they'd be so fucked royally up the ass.
