Gamestop is up 40c a share since Thursday...

You clearly know nothing about trading stocks...the industry is quite irrelevant.
Again, Gamestop is up .40c since Thursday...it's up $2.60 Since Aug and has been higher than that too. If you had bought Gamestop stock in Aug you'd have doubled your money now. If Fono had bought some when I told him to, he'd have made money.
When Gamestop announce more store closures/layoffs in the new year you will again see the stock go up...as that's usually what happens when a large company has layoffs, it makes the investors happy...as they see it as cutting the excess fat.
Gamestop most likely WILL go under probably sometime next year..that doesn't mean short term buying and selling the stock is a bad idea.
...again as demonstrated by the historical figures...
Gamestop Stock
Aug 15th $3.12
Oct 23rd $6,43
Nov 21st $5.42
Nov 25th CURRENT $5.87

Shut up about the day to day. It doesn't matter, and if you think it does then you should not be investing. You don't buy stocks to sell them every other day, you buy them to hold onto them for long periods of time irregardless of whether they add or lose value. If something important happens, then you may need to reconsider, but you should generally be prepared to ride out negative things in good hopes of still making good money over the long term because all stocks lose money, sometimes a lot literally all the time.
Also, just because you like a company and think they're going to make more profits does not mean it is the right time to buy. If a good company on the way up is overvalued, you ought to wait for a better time to buy and perhaps put your money in a different stock that isn't overvalued.
