   Garret made a mistake in tackling Rudolph and not realizing he had already released the ball. Rudolph, having a horrible night and having just been sacked back to back in the previous two plays, got pissed at Garret. His anger manifested when he grabbed Garrett by the face mask and attempted to pull his helmet off. That's when Garret got off of Rudolph pulling his helmet off as he rose.
   
   While using the helmet to deliver a blow to Rudolph's head was inexcusable had Randolph not charged at Garret from behind while yelling something at him Garrett would not have had opportunity to to strike him. Garret was clearly wrong for using the helmet but had Rudolph not attempted to remove Garrets helmet he would have kept his. Had Rudolph not charged at Garret from behind he never would have benn hot with his one helmet.
