steel? that is too difficult. the liquification temp is too high and the sensitivity to impurities that fuck up the alloy is too low. to say nothing of how easily castings get impurities and how difficult it is to make a mold/pour. this is the reason chinee steel is shit-tier.
iron is about as high-temp of a metal that a non-professional foundry can cast. -
