Very hard to do. Drink lots of water and eat some bread mostly. Also take multivitamins, cod liver oil (it helps the liver) and some B vitamins before going asleep. In psychiatric hospitals here they will literally give the alcoholics thiamine (Vitamin B1).
And I always try to save some booze for the next day, as I find a bit of the hair-of-the-dog-that-bit-you really helps.
