Honestly? He should be charged for aiding and abetting. The house clearly wasn't secure, allowing criminals easy access to fortify it in the event of a police standoff. His negligence should be punished - the half a million dollars in property damage was not enough. All the windows should have been barred and the doors should have been reinforced. Anything less is practically an invitation to would-be shoplifters-cum-gunmen.

Also: who the fuck engages in a 19 hour armed police standoff over shoplifting charges? Just go to jail for a little bit.

I just heard about this on the radio this AM. They also said Goodluck trying to get paid if a cop or ambulance hits you in a car wreck. Guess they won’t pay out then either.
They must just figure insurance will cover it. Not saying that makes it right. I absolutely believe the cops should have insurance for pay outs when this shit happens.

Spacers Choice reminds you that all domiciles and the contents living inside them are the property of Spacers Choice and that dying during a police standoff is a health code violation subject to a fine to be paid by your next of kin
Failure to pay this fine could result in a police standoff

Oh yeah I forgot about pistols
I almost bought a .40 sw because 9mm doesn't feel right, I like high recoil
