I hugely prefer time warp because it is integrated into the gameplay. It doesn't stop your game, in fact it enhances it. Jump out, tap three niggers in the head to blind, run in like a wild man with a tossball stick and crush their ass, warp again to stagger, then execute them with a shitty blast. I usually tell my companions to chill behind a rock and shoot long range while I go in and tear ass up close.
It's really cool, it kind of reminds me of Max Payne and really allows for cool combos and chains.
The plasma rifle is broken as a motherfucker by the way. Give it the shock magazine (zap 2 go or something) mod and it fucking dominates. -
2019-10-30 at 1:51 PM UTCDon't talk shit on VATS. Its cool. And also the best way to kill those cazador things

Not if you play on hardcore survival like I do with monster mods and no leveling system enabled.
I distinctly remember leaving Goodsprings and running into this 50ft tall beetle creature that I had to hide from for like 5 minutes. There is no punching that thing. You must hide to survive until you're strong enough to kill it. -
2019-10-30 at 2:57 PM UTCew mods are gross

2019-10-30 at 3:20 PM UTCI just reinstalled new vegas, looking forward to good times.

2019-10-30 at 4:37 PM UTCGolem you might actually love S.T.A.L.K.E.R series, specially the hard mode, lots of mods available too.

2019-10-30 at 4:39 PM UTCOh also with plasma rifle
- Shock mod
- Tinker repeatedly
- Use the charge blast
It vapes most enemies in 1-2 hits and stronger stuff takes not too much longer than that. -
2019-10-30 at 4:47 PM UTCMight have to check it out if I get the chance then, are the weapons real looking? I hate how F4 went back to 1910s tech for everything
-
2019-10-30 at 4:58 PM UTCYeah they look and feel just like plasma weapons
-
2019-10-30 at 5:05 PM UTCI'm pretty sure with the plasma rifle, the shock nod does not supplant the plasma damage but supplements it.
I could be wrong but the flamethrower thingy shoots both and my plasma shots look like plasma + shock, not straight shock. They also vaporise enemies like plasma, despite giving them the shock animation. -
2019-10-30 at 5:05 PM UTCNumby, it is good.

I've played one of them. They're pretty good. The storms will fuck your shit up and every encounter is actually terrifying. One of the few games that didn't use jump scares to spook me. -
2019-10-31 at 1:05 PM UTCThe second area on terra 2 is gay
The way they designed the quests is awkward. There is a section that forces you to sneak because the game doesn't let you use terminals during combat
There is a lady that gives you a moral dilemma. I said I would help her because I wanted to open more dialogue options but it failed the quest I was doing so I panicked and killed her and then my quest "un failed" by removing the "X" from the option and putting a check mark
I didn't know I would fail the quest and I didn't know killing her would un fail it, I almost reloaded my save because I have no idea what's going on
And then finally, I finished every quest except one because it doesn't give me the option to steal the item I was asked to get, I can only give it to him or not talk to him
So the only way to finish the quest is to fail it and I don't get exp i guess even though I can tell the other scientist I'm not giving back his research and complete the quest -
