Good idea, you don't need a chimney fire. Make sure you get good seasoned wood to burn.

It just means it's dried properly, fresh cut wood is too wet and will build up creosote in the chimney and start a chimney fire.

I have gas too and it's pretty cheap here. But a fireplace would be nice at times.

Use a duroflame decreoset log or two.. It makes it chip and fall out and onto the wood rack thingy.. Then just use duroflame logs..
