    Dont do that, they create unhealthy air quality. just mulch them with a lawn mower and don't use a lawn mower bag .. it's good for the soil. it decays quickly. and makes new top soil

    when it's damp I'm sure you can if you have a large backyard.
    
    Dig a hole and do it in there? thats how farmers do it out in the area I used to live in. they wanted to ban it , it was on the news. but they have huge huge acres of clippings and leaves in the fall.
