Life without internet

2019-10-26 at 1:36 AM UTCstarting next month I will be moving and I have made the decision to not immediately get internet as soon as I get moved in
I want to go at least a year without the net at home
I remember feeling so happy in the years that I didn't have the net, literally ever since 2002 I have been addicted to the net, back then it wasn't as miserable but as the years went on it certainly started getting that way and with the internet feeling so mainstream and boring now there really isn't any reason to allow it to be part of my life
I can get my net fix at the library when I need to, or from various fast food restaurants
What I am mostly excited about is
1 - not having that constant stream of information and stimulation.
I'm excited to see how I will feel mentally being in an environment that is more still and natural
2 - not being exposed to negative stimuli on places like 4chan etc
the average person DOES NOT see so much grotesque stimuli on a daily basis unless they're black or live in africa
while I am on a hiatus I'll take the time to replay all my games, finally take programming and making music seriously, learn Japanese, exercise and find peace of mind
it'll be refreshing to not wake up and immediately reach out for my laptop only to be greeted with the negativity of the web
or go entire days, weeks and months immersed only in my actual life
anybody else here feel like they need a break from the web? -

I'm addicted to consuming information
I get extremely bored and depressed if I don't have something new and interesting to read about or watch, it's not about socailizing.
This place and the GTA forums are the only places I go to to talk to people
If I have the net, I am on the web all day everyday.
I'm an extreme addict and the only way for me to not be on it is to not have it, it's always been this way.
This is one of the biggest reasons 2006 was such a great year for me, because I was living at my grandparents and we didn't have the net, although I would go to the library to use their computer lab. -

When I had no electricity I downloaded pdf books to read on my phone and it was a good time. I also posted here More than anyone
I would walk around looking for free wifi shoplifting benadryl and getting fucked up and shit posting.......

I just take a step back and enjoy simple things like sitting outside of my place nearly every morning having coffee, rockin out to tunes and watching the sun rise. it's a simple way to clear my mind and it tends to keep me centered & aware of all the great things that we have in our lives that rushing around can drown out. otherwise I'd be constantly trying to satisfy my curiosity about everything.

Do you mean Baseball irw? or do you mean like Soccer/futball or do you mean Yatzee and other board games or do you mean your video games?
