2019-10-25 at 9:35 PM UTCit's almost clear now that it's the PG&E power equipment is just aged to the point where one by one they're failing. transformer and other equipment making this the third year in a row of major fires north of San Francisco in the wine country.
Something about a "Broken jumper cable" is responsible (they strongly believe) caused this one.
three years in a row. what's strange is this hot weather for the last 4-5 years this late in the year. Global warming is a real thing. Northern California was probably the last area to see it when it was first announced in the 80s-90s.
though there was always talk of a Greenhouse gas affect warming the planet since the 1960s. it's a real thing. You don't see fog for months or when it comes it comes through the Golden Gate instead of up and over twin peaks as it used to. it creeps around the bay now. except during mid summer.. it's still foggy as fuck in much of the bay. The Bay makes it a good marker as evidence. -

What makes it funnier is everyone knows how difficult it is to burn leaves. there are orchards where I used to live that showed on the news them doing control burns in which leaves and shit just create shitloads of smoke. they're so full of moisture even when they're dry.
