Email provider that doesn't suck balls?

2019-10-16 at 7:54 PM UTCI made the mistake of using gmail for years, and one day they suddenly say I'm locked out of my account because the computer I've used for over a year isn't recognized by google anymore, despite having the same operating system and even the same browser.
Lost a bunch of good info to that faggotry.
Is there any that don't fucking suck balls that are reliable and won't do this kind of shit? -

Your described scenario just isn't real.
If you insist on having something else, you could use Yahoo or protonmail or some other shit.
Or just set up your own SMTP server.
Or, you know... Just use Gmail like a normal person. -

Yeah, but that wouldn't do me much good if the power goes out. The thing with these big email service companies is they have shitloads of backup servers and backup generators if there's ever a power outage. That's unrealistic for most of us. I could have one and it'd be fucked if it lost power, cause then I couldn't send an email till power was restored.
I am looking into building some efficient generators but it's a ways off, so until then it's not the best idea. -

I wouldn't think about running your own email server nowadays, though lots of people and companies do.
I would prefer to just let someone else have that headache.
I also have a yandex.com email that has always worked great, and they are free. -

if you want to set up your own pop/imap/smtp server you can always run it on a vps but a mailserver takes a good deal of maintenance to keep it off spam lists, RBLs etc. -

Well that's what happened. They locked me out for using the library computer a few days in a row when I'd normally use the other one. But the other one has the same hardware and operating system, same browser, everything.
The only thing that's changed is a network engineer came in for some reason. To my knowledge, nothing about the device was any different, just the network. Even gmail told me the reason was the browser, but it's the same goddamn browser. It's also the same one I use at the library. So even the reason they gave me was bullshit. -

That does not explain anything. But thanks for attempting. I had some damaging information about communists and the central banking system in that account and I thought maybe that was partly why I was locked out. Elsewhere maybe their servers got raped. -

With browser finger printing, they can determine a lot about the system(processor architecture, installed fonts, screen size). They have scripts that'll lock accounts immediately if something is off. -
