The plight of the schizophrenic
-
2017-01-15 at 6:31 AM UTCI used to work at a state hospital (state ran psyche hospital) as a nursing aid when I was 18 back when I was a gold hearted lad, I loved the patients, they were crazy, intelligent, funny, and sometimes even very loving towards me. But It broke my heart to see how they were so misunderstood by the doctors and some of the nurses.
They were there for treatment and for therapy but often times they were discarded life a unwashed dish that didn't have time for cleaning. Because I was not jaded at life nearly as much as I am now, I did my best to interact with these people, give them extra juice boxes and snacks, stay up all night talking to them. I learned a lot from those goofy bastards.
Many schizophrenics are treated so poorly that they rather be on the street because at least they can be left alone from doctors who condescend to their malady. Medicine does help some of these people to an extent, sometimes they just need to come off drugs, but the ones who don't do drugs I truly believe they have a have an affliction of the spirit the human spirtit, they are symbols of our disgusting humanity.
A couple weeks ago, I saw a guy walk into a mexican restaurant I sometimes go in, even though I hadn't seen this guy in about 11 years he's easy to recognize, he the way he stands, he's missing one arm (a train ran over his arm when he was a kid), comes out of the restaurant with a cup of water, and I'm relieved that they didn't just toss him out, he's obviously homeless. I said hey wait up michael, and you need a few bucks (he didn't even question how I knew his name he that out of it, and I gave him a ten and he said thanks and I said later bud and he just walked off and crossed the street. It made me think about the last time I saw him at the hospital he was pissed off at the world, I'm not sure exactly why he was brought there but obviously something having to do with being crazy and homeless, and he was pissed off because he overheard one of the nurses giggle and make a comment about him looking like jim carrey. fucking witch.
But anyways, one of my favorite photographers is the street photographer chuck jines and he usually does most of his work in black in white, but one of his recent photos on his site was done in color and it was done for a reason. Some people think its exploitation and he know this lady and claims she is sometimes friendly and will talk to him but she wasn't having it this day.
Here is his photo: the street shitter
heres his website if you'd like to check more out. Not all of it is like that at all, but many of them tell a story with rich detail.

2017-01-15 at 6:41 AM UTC^ Aww, dude, aww, no, no... That street shitter is rank. We need to bring back euthanasia.
-
2017-01-15 at 6:48 AM UTC^no man, that could easily be anyone of us one day, you wouldn't try to help him/her, if you knew him from the streets? Give him a pair of pants you don't wear or something?, some fritos and a gallon of oj?
Not that every homeless schizo is that bad (she probably has aids or something), but still. And lets say euthanasia isn't a legal option yet in the future for poor souls like this. You don't think a little bit of something could help them?
And whether its homelessness, famine, or war. There will always be something disgusting our humanity until we all be more positive, life is beautiful at times, but it is the reality as its been for many of 1000's of years that it can also be as equally sad and pathetic.
killing her i agree would be a mercy killing, but I guarantee you she used to not be like that, and like i said is a symbol for our disgusting ways as people
oh and heres the website, i forgot to post it, like i said most of his stuff isn't like that, but thats one of the most intense

That's fine I wouldn't expect a self proclaimed autist to have much of an E.Q. -
2017-01-15 at 8:31 AM UTCi'm not a self proclaimed autist you literally are. you've said so multiple times. you tell us about all the girls you bang but it turns out they're just pictures you found on the internet.

cognitive empathy and emotional empathy are valid constructs
E.Q. conflates the two and is used as a cop out for people who like to feel better about themselves
also all E.Q. measures are just self report questionnaires like "I am a people person TRUE FALSE" which is sort of like saying an IQ test is "I am smart YES NO" -
2017-01-15 at 11:43 AM UTCYou should be an orderly

2017-01-15 at 12:08 PM UTCReal schizophrenics don't take their meds cos they believe they're fake mind control drugs.
I can't count the amount of schizos who told me the meds they give out are fake -
2017-01-15 at 12:38 PM UTCThey are not fake but they are not good either.
-
2017-01-15 at 12:56 PM UTCNah they genuinely believed the meds were fake. I can't remember their delusions about the nurses cos at some point the crazy/truth got overwhelming and I switched off. Good people, if somewhat fucked up

2017-01-15 at 1:16 PM UTCOnce I was spun out smoking a cigarette on the sidewalk downtown and this guy who seemed schizo as fuck walked by ranting about nonsense to himself. He looked pretty distraught and I was on drugs with nothing to do so I was like "hey man everything good? you want a cigarette or something?" and he just looked up and said in a calm, sober, rational voice "No thank you" and then went right back to spewing crazy shit.

some take them some don't, some get off of them once they aren't in a supervised area. Some have more insight than towards their malady than others. Theres varying degrees just like anything else. -

my best friend became a schizo from like 19 to 24, he took his pills.
P.S schizophrenics are just space aliens. anyone could become a space alien. because we inhabit a dimensional manifold, the material world being only one single vector of consciousness. if you tune into space, you'd be a space alien. i am the king under the mountain, whose burden is great and who moves under stellar weight. they arrived at their schizophrenia that same way your car arrives at the store: through a predictable, rational, routine method of forward motion in a certain direction. just as most people walk from liberal to conservative as they get older, schizophrenics are simply people that have walked far away from the millieu of humanity and the plane they inhabit. they can barely feel their earthly bodies. i would say it's sickness. there are many space aliens among us, and schizophrenics are just the people that didn't know what they were doing when they went to space. they had no map, see. schizophrenia isn't genetic in origin, although, of course the desire to go to space is heritable. many very wealthy and successful people are space aliens, but they're 'skilled navigators'. they can make a spaceship out of literal junk from the dump. to them, everything has a use. they use everything in their environment.
