The only Je'w I ever really spent much time with is my friend AAron who's this short little Je'wish guy with an accent and everything and I don't know him too terribly well, I mean he had some grad schooling he never finished and is a smart guy but he's still broke as shit and has been working at an upscale grocery store last I heard from him. So I guess that's 1/0 so far personally.
Globally, yeah I think like Israel is obviously a very "HeyHEEEEEYYYYY!! Here's a bone, now do our bidding, lol fuck you" but doesn't every country do that to an extent? The US does, although maybe not quite as severely, but the US doesn't have armed to the teeth schizophrenic/literally retarded neighbors trying to kill them every day for thousands of years. That kind of thing has a way of weighing down on your patience and the amount of shit you're willing to tolerate.
As far as American jedi communities, I think they've gotten to a certain class standing that they've been able to keep via some schmoozing but I don't know how much of their ability to get there and stay there is due to intelligence/Yahweh given talent at working the market/ruthlessness/moral degeneration/chance/being propped up there artificially by other people/whatever other reason.

I actually get along great with jedis. My first job was working for a jedi, my first and only ever landlord was a jedi, and I work with jedis today. I've even been told I'd make a good jedi.
jedis are not awful people individually. However their interests, and ours, just happen to conflict, and we need to stand up for ourselves
